Bruce Power Co-op
Bruce Power is a nuclear power provider with an award winning team
of in-house designers. I worked with them a co-op student for 8 months, receiving mentorship from these accomplished RGD (Association of Registered Graphic Designers) members.
My tasks included:
-
Laying out digital training materials, adding visuals, navigation, activities, and audio.
-
Leading team meetings and a PowerPoint Lunch & Learn.
-
Creating materials including social media giphies, posters, maps, illustrations, newsletter templates and a box design.
I created the giphies shown above with Adobe Illustrator and After Effects. They were uploaded for use as stickers in Instagram stories. They include a colour gradient consistent across Bruce Power's net zero messaging.
The Bruce Power Visitors' Centre attracts many school groups and families. I created this colouring sheet to accompany an interactive exhibit. There are a variety of activities, each partially filled in to visually demonstrate how it works.
For a supplier appreciation event, I designed the box of a mocktail kit. It brings a beautiful view over Huron Lake and the colours of summer together for a fun, distinctly Bruce Power feel.
This newsletter (above) is distributed quarterly to over one thousand internal Bruce Power employees. For ease of use by its editor, I created
it within PowerPoint and marked how many words each page fits.
The newsletter includes photos taken by professional photographers
of the site and of employees who will receive the newsletter.
Shown above are sample slides from a template in a series of six templates I redesigned for different areas of online training. They're an update to earlier templates, making the appearance consistent with current internal brand standards and adding far more premade slide layouts to save time and encourage variety within training materials. These templates were created in consultation with team members who were exited to use them in their work going forwards.
